Comments

  1. Wow the call from Matt made me see the same dynamic with my brother and his wife and my mom. I thought it was a real eye opener when it was said that the mother keeps the son (or daughter) in a child role. My mother does the same thing. Her way of keeping control is overbearing, first to not listen, but keep talking, or to dismiss, laugh at, and ridicule. Her way of seeing things is not letting them grow up, since it’s about her, not others. Brother is now in his 60s and disowned her years ago.
